  U.S. MODEL 1863 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE AND BAYONET United States,C. 1864.58 caliber, NSN, walnut stock with a very light cartouche on the left side, steel fittings, the lock is marked "1864" with an eagle and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD", breech marked with a "V/P" over an eagle head, a tulip-shaped ramrod, and a bayonet marked "C&CO" on the socket, and "US" on the base of the blade.
• Model 1863 Springfield Rifled-Musket
  Model 1863 Springfield Rifled-Musket Type 1 .58 cal. 40'' round barrel dated 1863 on the top of tang and on the lockplate.  Walnut stock with three barrel bands. Condition: Barrel has a grey look with some light oxidation and pitting build up on the top of the barrel.  Lock has a mottled grey look with some pitting on the top of hammer.  Wood is excellent with a nice dark look and two faint cartouches.  Bore is excellent. Has a correct bridle leather sling with single eye and single neck hook.
